Poetic Harmonies EP, REVIEWS

September 13, 2010

Hey There

Wow is the word I start this post with, because I have indeed been impressed by the reception of my Debut EP. In all honesty my eyes are just a little bit slightly watery as I write this blog. The reception, feedback has been absolutely eye watering. I’ve got feedback from, old friends, new friends and great supporters. If I really think about it, your support and love is truly immense. This is because, I always feel like I’m all alone, but through my Music and Poetry my lonesomeness has been eradicated.

Thank you so much to all the people that sent me facebook messages, twitter messages and text messages I was unable to read dude to my change of location. Thank you to all that have played the EP again and again. Thanks to all that are listening to it now.

Even though I write for myself, its a great feeling to know that there are others who hold great value to my words and ideas. I still can’t believe that I managed to put all these songs and poetry pieces together and actually release them as intended. I could go on for a many more pages, but fear of repetition and your inevitable boredom has lead me to end it here.

I will leave you with some official reviews written by professional reviewers who felt to write about my EP.

Young, Gifted and Directing

August 11, 2010

Hey There.

Was gonna wait a little longer to start this segment, but this director has excited me for too long and I hadn’t even seen any of her work. First talented person to feature on Young, Gifted and Directing is this female.

First heard of her, when my little bro came back from a screening of her debut short film Tight Jeans at the London Film Festival and became an audience favorite.

I’m really looking forward to seeing her Channel 4 film for Coming up starring Bunmi Mojekwu called The Future Wags of Great Britain which is showing on Thursday 19th of August. Check out her website,(www.destinyekaragha.com) I know I do. Also check out the short film Tight Jeans that I found really funny and well filmed. So Simplistic but very entertaining.

Ed Sheeran Vs Example

August 11, 2010

Hey There.

Now Imagine you made a song, then a friend of yours asks you  “hey dude can I record a cover of your new song?” You stare at said friend for a beat then laugh. After 10 seconds of laughter you give this friend a patronizing pat on the back and reply ha-you can try”. Little do you know, this friend of yours is a Young, Gifted and Singing, human called Ed Sheeran. That’s what happened to Example. Now I actually do like his new song Last one standing, very funny video. In fact I like Watch the sun come up. Just don’t tell my brother. lol

But Ed Sheeran’s cover of Last one standing is just something else. Listen to Example‘s Original version, then listen to the cover so you can make an impartial decision.

New Tinie Tempah-Written in the stars

August 11, 2010

Hey There.

I’ve been a fan of Tinie Tempah before he started making girls pass out right after getting frisky with them- what’s the guy putting in their drinks? Ok I know that’s cheesy but I just couldn’t resist. Lol. Check out this tune I’ve had  on repeat since hearing it today. I like the line “I’m just writer from the ghetto like Malorie Black-Man”. Check the Audio out. Then check out the Video Trailer.

Young, Gifted and Singing

August 10, 2010

Hey There

Next piece of talent to feature in Young, Gifted and Singing is this guy.

Now let me try and remember how I first got to know this Ed Sheeran‘s music… oh yeah that’s it.   Came across it on SBTV, when he performed You need me. I was as shocked as you will be once you watch the video of him performing that I will eventually put below, so just keep reading be patient.

I had his Loose Chane E.P on repeat for weeks. It was breath of fresh air to my ears. Check the video of him performing the aforementioned You need me.
